Elder Dr. Dorinda Smith is an active church leader, intercessor, mentor, mother, grandmother, retired teacher, and life-long student of the Bible. The great passion of her life is studying and teaching the Word of God. It should be noted that she earned her Doctorate Degree in Theology after retiring from a fruitful and rewarding forty-plus year teaching career, specializing in Early Childhood Education. Her teaching gift is fully operational in Finding Jesus in the Word.
Words have always grabbed Dr. Smith’s attention. From her extensive study of the Bible, she learned that words are important to God too. He created the heavens and the earth with His Words. Scriptures that speak specifically about words are found in both the Old and the New Testaments. The Old Testament Prophet Isaiah said “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever (Isaiah 40:8 King James Version). And in the New Testament the Gospel writer Matthew says “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4b New International Version). God’s Words are powerful, eternal, and sustains life.
Dr. Dorinda, as she’s affectionately called, believes that receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior is the missing link in many lives. God’s Grace is sufficient for the Christian. Christians equipped with the Word of God and who apply Biblical principles in daily living can achieve the Godkind of life. The master plan to the abundant life is found in the Bible!
